That's truth right there. The people who hate us now have always hatd us. Those wars didn't cause the hate;. they just made it a convenient excuse.

What makes me most uncomfortable about Romeny is the way he says one thing in one place and antoehtr thing in another place. At the debate he said he would keep certain parts of Obamacare intact. Then after the debate, his capmaign says no they won't. Who's right? Is he a Severe Conservative? or will he be the guy who invades Iran and Syria to help the Syrian Al Qaedia rebels arm themselves to oust more governments? We don't know.

No, we absolutely should look at those things. But you can look at any senator voting in any direction on any number of bills with a thousand thigs in it and point to ti. The article is acting like Obama hasn't been president yet, that he's still campaigning for his first term. The fact is, he has a track record as president, so why bring up this weird halfling of a story from when he wasn't president, five years later?

Out of all the replies to my comnent, yours is the most coherent, so hereis my answer. Firstly, I, personally, am not intolerant of any religion, and I am not an evangelical. However, most of the evanglicals I have known and spoken with have themselves spokjen about how Latter-Day Saints are not "real" Christians. I'm just stating a fact. It's a mistake to try and cleave Christians into multiple camps or another, if what your wanting to do is rally them, that's what the article is trying to do, and that's what I'm trying to say. Secondly, if you wan tto go down that "not a true Christain" road, your going to get more examples than you bargained for. I just dont think that religion shoul have any place in this argument.

I don't like the way patriotism is equated with religion. It's a losing argument especially when the only Christian left in the presidential race is the Democrat. You're asking evangelicals to come out and vote for the Latter-Day Saint clergyman? Really?
Federal income taxes need to be abolished in general. Income tax isn't the best way to collect funds for government. If we're going to have mandated health care, we should all be redirecting our health care premiums to the program instead of the insurance companies, or through the insurance companies.

I agree that Obama has lied, but I'm not sure bringing up what he said before he was president is a tactical victory. You can't call him a "phony" like you can with Romney because he's already been president for a while now, and he hasn't really changed all that much. I'm sure you can do better than this.
I don't know why Obama was so confused by Romney's sudden move to the center. Obviuously he has to move to the center to win a general election. Or that he was using the same talking points as the ones he used during the campaign. The Romney campaign told them out loud that they were going to do this. He should have been more prepared for it.
I think you guys are underestimateing Obama and the hold he has on his party and followers. He's given them a lot of what they were asking for in 2008. That should be ackwnowledged. Whether or not he campaigned on it, he gave them the Health Care thing, DOMA, DADT, tax cut extensions, green energy investment and other left-nut causes. when you make those kinds of giveaways to certain parts of your base, you make loyal followers out of poeple who might not have followed you without them.

Yeah, the "comedy" that is Famliy Guy. I can't believe Fox still employs guys like MacFarlane when they have such a repuation for conservative values. I guess he makes them a lot of money and that's what talks in that town.
