To bad we don't have that article as part of our constitution. That is one change (along with a balanced budget requirement) that I would be happy to vote for. The federal government's prime duty is to protect the citizens of this country from foreign invasion in whatever form. They are failing miserably in this task.

I think we have to convince the voters of whatever race or origin that they have a better opportunity to get ahead (or that they actually have that opportunity) if they support a truly conservative candidate. The republican party has failed to provide a real alternative to the democrats as Dr. Sowell points out. The voters or potential voters, don't see a point in voting for a mushy candidate unless they understand that the democrat candidate is actually worse. When a candidate is mushy, they KNOW they cannot count on him/her, so they vote for what they know. That's why we got Obama twice so far. That's why we will have president Hillary if we don't run a real conservative who can convince voters that he is truly conservative.
It seems pretty amazing that some of these women survive doing this to their ex husbands.
I asked a black girl for a date in 1969, sat next to her in a high school class. She replied that she couldn't, that her parents wouldn't let her go out with a white guy. It never made any sense to me and still doesn't.
“I want to go up to the closest white person and say: ‘You can’t understand this, it’s a black thing’ and then slap him, just for my mental health.” — New York City Councilman, Charles Barron I'd like to see video of him doing that to Mayor Bloomberg.
They don't need to do that here in U.S. of A. They are already confiscating our savings through inflation by printing more and more monopoly money. Notice that when Obama took office the price of a gallon of gas was about $1.70. Now it's nearer $4. That's what inflation has done. Have your wages gone up that much? Mine haven't.
If I had any money to spare from daily expenses I'd be buying gold. Don't have any so I can't. Most of us can't.

The more I learn about John McCain the more he disgusts me. He is as bad as or even worse than John Boehner as being Republican In Name Only (RINO).

He does it so well, by taking the liberal viewpoint to it's logical conclusion (which they NEVER do) that a lot of people are fooled by his posts until they realize what he is doing and how well he does it. I'd love to meet him and discuss stuff like this in person. That would be cool!

That's why gold and silver have gone up so much. The dollars you use to buy an ounce of either (or any precious metal) are so much smaller. If gold doubles it's a good indication that your dollar is half value compared to before.

In the end, a dollar bill is a representation of some work you do. Perform a valuable service get a lot of dollars for an hour's work. Something not so valuable, get minimum wage. If the service isn't worth minimum wage to anyone, then you go get free dollars printed by the government. But those free dollars compete for the food that everyone else pays for with dollars they worked for and therefore the price goes up. That's inflation. Inflation sucks unless you're the government and want to spend more dollars. They don't care that we all lose the value of the dollars we worked for.
