The wise learn from the past. This is not the first time the government has forced technological advancement to the detriment of the public. In the 1970's and early 80's government smog emission standards resulted in new cars that were hard to start, stalled often, had less power and ran poorly. By the late 1980's car makers had developed technologies that cured all these problems and, once again, Americans were able to buy a new car that ran as well as their 1960's model. During that era, I chose to hang on to my good running 60's car, and didn't buy again until 1988. As for light bulbs, I have accumulated a large supply of incandecents. CUT DEMOCRATS, NOT MEDICARE

The Obama administration is cutting Medicare spending to fund the democrat's health care plan. They announced that to reduce costs they will cut Medicare spending in 2 areas. An 11% cut in cardiac care spending and a 19% cut in oncology spending. It is now clear what the democrats health car plan (for seniors) is. The democrats senior health care plan is for seniors to NOT HAVE HEART PROBLEMS OR CANCER, or, for those who do, TO DIE QUICKLY. Ah, but don't mention this in the halls of congress.
