You're wrong! Go back and look at the annual percentage of GNP used to support our military and you will see some drastic ups and downs. Granted, we ned to reduce forces from time to time but, we do not need to create a "hollow" force incapable of protecting this country. We're pushing hard in that direction.

Don't know where you gathered your facts and conclusions but they don't match what I was taught and observed during a twenty year career, The Zero, though not as heavily armed, could and did fly circles around anything we had. The only "superior" plane that was better than anything we had was the German ME262. It's late entrance into the war and Germany's lack of production facilities, negated its impact.

"Dominating the world" is not the issue here. Preservation of the nation is at stake.
