That's a red herring, Charles... the founders assumed (in error, as it turns out with today's ignorant voters) that the electorate was intelligent-enough to know the difference between native- and natural-born citizenship, as set forth in de Vattel's "Law of Nations" and elsewhere. Numerous Supreme Court cases have affirmed the meaning of natural-born citizenship, including Minor v. Happersett, which has never been overturned or superceded. Article II, section I, clause V contains the relevent language concerning NB citizenship and its requirement for presidential and vice-presidential eligibility.
