"Nothing against all the free thinking atheists out there, but what rational argument can be made against “Thou shalt not kill” or “Honor thy Father and Mother”?" I'm sorry. I stopped reading at this point. Seriously? You think it's THOSE commandments that atheists protest on property owned by all of us? Clearly you can't argue against the reality, so you have to conveniently forget commandments about the Judeo-Christian god being your only god and having no others before him or remembering the sabbath, etc. Religious commandments that have no place in the government of a religiously-diverse society. Poor argumentation doesn't deserve a read. www.atheistview.com

Of course there's a slippery slope. You start at the point where what consenting adults do is none of your business and slide all the way down until you're okay with that. Read this: it won't make you feel better. "Gay marriage's slippery slope." http://www.examiner.com/article/marriage-s-slippery-slope

Very difficult not to laugh out loud at "without our consent" and "without our control."

This is hilarious! "But first, some caveats." And Brown goes on to list some of the reasons why there is really no connection between fatherlessness and faithlessness. "That being said," he continues. "[I]t is important to probe the connection between fatherlessness and faithlessness." Brilliant! Simply brilliant!

That's just what people who don't like particular words say. All words can be used creatively. A good writer knows that finding just the right word pumps up a phrase. And sometimes, the F word is exactly right.

America's Moral Schizophrenia

The funny thing about this piece is that Connor doesn't want the government to intrude in his drink choices, but he does want the government to intrude in women's reproductive choices...when the logical result of his thinking is that the government should not be involved in either choice. It is unfortunate and true that when we look upward toward a Creator, all we hear back is "men in power" telling us what it wants.
