There's no 'anecdotal evidence' to speak of - there's the simple fact that Ryan is a hypocrite by wanting to dismantle the social safety nets that allowed him to become the man that he is today.

Three years ago, Mitt Romney proposed a constitutional amendment that would have made Paul Ryan ineligible for the Presidency - that the POTUS would need 3 years in business.

Ryan lived off the state growing up, became a congressional staffer, and then has spent 12 years in congress (only passed 2 bills - renaming a post office and changing the way archery arrows are taxed).

His entire life he's lived off of taxpayers.
