Are the Navy Seals too white? I saw this on the cover of the Navy Times and I had to laugh. I think it is crazy that we are worrying about something as trivial as this. The Navy is an all volunteer force and the Seals are a select group of volunteers as well. So what is the issue that an all volunteer force is more white, black or hispanic. Considering most of the African Americans I know in the Navy do not know how to swim or do not swim well is it a wonder why there are not more blacks in the Seals. I am sure a man who does not swim well loves to be dropped two miles out in the ocean and told to swim to shore. Resorting to quota controls makes the Teams weaker not special.

I don't know about you, but I'm getting pretty sick of this war on the white male. According to TIME, the Navy SEALs are too white and don't resemble real seals. Seriously.

In nature, most seals are black, with relatively few white ones. The Navy's SEALs have exactly the opposite problem -- they're overwhelmingly white, with hardly any blacks. So they're trying to do something about it.
