Time for Introspection, but Not Surrender

I fear that conservatives do not understand how they are handing America to socialistic economics by holding on to their archaic notions of sexuality. When I read and comment here on TH I see too many angry and often irrational commenters so certain that they must be right about gays, atheists and American Muslims that they gladly chase away moderates and independents. We do not have an electorate where the majority of people believe Obama's economic message, but we do have one that will more and more want to do away with laws favoring heterosexuals and punishing gays. It made a difference to independents I spoke with as, unfortunately did the stupid comments a couple of candidates made about rape and abortion. Some conservatives . . .

I am guessing they made those comments for money.

No one is punishing gays. Gays don't even care about marriage. Commies care about marriage. The destruction of God's plan for marriage. And the certain destruction of America if gays are allowed to marry. An unhealable destruction. God will have no choice but to destroy us. Human beings call destruction down upon themselves by ignoring God's structure that He put in place for our benefit and good health. And because He especially loves children.

conservatives are so lost in the 1950s that others perceive them as also racist, which is not fair, as I don't know one who would not vote for Clarence Thomas. But, David Limbaugh, his brother, and other conservative leaders must learn that they are not going to win if they insist on candidates going through the gauntlet of social conservatism and they can either start acting and talking differently or they can enjoy their popularity among their followers by remaining the permanent minority. As I share with them to some degree some libertarian and economic principles, and very few if any with liberals, I hope they get the memo. I doubt it as they are realing now, not even facing the fact of why they lost.

When society collapses, nobody will give a hobo's cr@p about "gay marriage."

That is true. They won't care about yours either.
Joycey Wrote: Nov 09, 2012 9:15 AM
No one cares about it now.

And that is what is against us. Morally deficient ungracious humans.

DHE if you are against morals. Go over and live with the Demons. Good luck.

Has the nation gone irreversibly blue? Did intraparty disunity sabotage Mitt Romney's presidential quest? Or is there some other explanation for the nation's re-election of a president with the worst record in decades?

I received an email from a brilliant conservative friend who wonders whether Republicans can ever win another election and thus whether the nation is forever lost. I ran into a college student at church the Sunday before the election, and despite his strong conservatism and high intelligence, he admitted confusion about the candidates' respective positions after the presidential debates.

My first reaction after...
