Barack Obama not only cannot "impose" gay marriage on America, but he probably will not have to do so. In only a few years, public acceptance of gay marriage has grown by leaps. There is no reason to think it won't. It is such a short time since homosexuality was a criminal offense. Who do you hear saying that this needs to be brought back? How many politicians do you hear still crying that the military as we know it will end if they repeal don't ask, don't tell? Any? And, when gay marriage is more fully accepted somewhere between a few years from now and the next generation, few who are against it now, other than some old men and women, will want to admit that they had been.

Bullfeathers! Too much of that so-called public "acceptance" is done not out of conviction but out of fear. The fear is of having gays and their supporters calling anyone who doesn't kiss their figurative behinds homophobic, intolerant, against civil rights and equality, ad nauseum. The fear is having those favoring the gay agenda picketing your business or even your home if you state your true beliefs. Too many people lack the simple backbone to look these people in the face and say "tough." Intimidation is the source for much of this "acceptance", not conviction.

Exactly right, Wolfgang, thats why the polls are so misleading, a pollster asks someone if they support gay marriage and they are more apt to lie and say that they are, so as not to be viewed as bigoted, but in the privacy of the voting booth gay marriage gets trounced almost everywhere it is on the ballot, including the bluest of blue states like California and others.

Only in your own mind and in the minds of pollsters who decieve us with rigged polls to show the outcomes that they want. Obama has wakened a sleeping giant called backlash and he will be defeated in the biggest landslide in history this November.

This is not abolition or the civil rights movement or even the suffragette movement, which all had a strong Christian underpinning at their philosophical core, and as such, slowly but gradually won the hearts and minds of an overwhelmingly Christian nation.

In short, these movements had Christian morality on their sides and that is why they ultimately prevailed.

Conversely, with gay marriage and much of the homosexual agenda the opposite is true. The homosexual agenda, by and large, is at war with Christianity, and that is why it is doomed to failure.

The only way gay marriage will ever enjoy widespread acceptance, as the old civil rights issues do today, is for America to essentially be de-Christianized.

If that occurs, then I agree with your premise.

But barring that, gay marriage and homosexuality will never enjoy widespread acceptance in America or any other nation where Christians make up the majority.

Hey, I haven't heard of this yet. Can you tell me what the homosexual agenda is? I keep hearing about this, and I haven't yet heard anyone try to define it. Even the alleged homosexuals. Please enlighten us.

Indoctrinating young elementary school children for one thing.

Parents will never accept that, will always view that as inappropriate, and they will always resent it ... and things like that will always push them towards the conservative side.

Really? How are homosexuals doing that? Have your children been approached or propositioned? If so, wow, that's terrible. I can certainly understand why you would hate homosexuals so much. Do you teach your children about right and wrong at home so they won't be duped by this kind of thing? I wouldn't let my son go into a public bathroom with out my waiting outside of the door for him to come out. (oops no pun intended) If he wasn't out in 2 minutes I went charging in for him whether there were other men in there or not. I did this until he was 18. If enough parents would take their role as seriously as you and I do, there wouldn't be all this amoral activity.

It took Joe Biden's public embrace of same-sex marriage to smoke him out.

But after Joe told David Gregory of "Meet the Press" he was "absolutely comfortable" with homosexuals marrying, Barack Obama could not maintain his credibility with the cultural elite if he stuck with the biblical view that God ordained marriage as solely between a man and woman. The biblical view had to go.

Obama had to move, or look like a malingerer in secularism's next great moral advance into post-Christian America.

Consider. Obama had an appearance coming up on "The View," where Whoopi Goldberg would...
