Obama Protects Hollywood

I sometimes seems that Mr. B desires censorship, though he never quite says it. Today, he came close, noting that Hollywood went unregulated. It should not be. If it wants to continue with its own rating system, fine, though I think it unnecessary. I never censored my own kid who seemed and she did it herself just fine. If something was too adult for her she turned to a cartoon or Disney. As adults we should demystify and explain, not make things "sexy" by hiding them. I've been watching violence my whole life on tv and in the movies, but never wanted to own a gun and have never had a real fight. I'm hardly alone. Kids can tell the difference between reality and entertainment from the time they are very young.

Empty words, signifying nothing. A typical DHE wandering, meandering, thought-free post.

Probably never had a real fight because he ran and hid.

President Obama and Vice President Biden gathered their children for a photo-op as Obama showily signed executive orders to prevent future mass shootings. It quickly became obvious that regulating the entertainment media wasn't part of his solution. Politics once more trumped policy.

Hollywood not only went unregulated, it went unmentioned. Biden announced that he had met with "229 groups from law enforcement agencies to public health officials to gun officials to gun advocacy groups to sportsmen and hunters and religious leaders."

He also met with Hollywood lobbyists and video game manufacturers, but was there anyone really expecting those meetings to amount...
