Mr. B's conservatism (and TH commenters) causes him to reject people who aren't like those he sees as "normal." I do not understand wrhy it is not okay to be bigoted about blacks, but it is with transgenders. What happened to freedom of expression, conscience, etc. I for one am proud of gay friends or family when they find the courage to come out. What are they afraid of? Being stigmatized by the Mr. B's of the world. I always admit that I have a reflexive discomfort with gay men and transexuals, but, I recognize that is my problem. Yes, Mr. B., just as it is okay to be black and play baseball, it is okay for a transgender person to go to high school and not pretend to be just like you.

You have a reflexive discomfort, because it is abnormal.

Really dhe are not you doing the same to conservatives?

You completely, fundamentally and utterly missed his point. You aren't going to get it, so this response isn't for you, it's for the thinking people who actually read the article and approach it without a "holier than thou" mindset: His point is that Hollywood, and the media in general, have an agenda and are attempting (seemingly successfully) to "normalize" those who are at the margins and fringes of behavior. Further, they are propping up a straw man to stigmatize conservatives, as though we are the ones who have a problem with someone's gender and sexual identities. In fact, the Conservative philosophy is to IGNORE a person's physical identity and to attribute far more importance to one's qualifications as an individual.

Are you being serious, or are you just a troll on this site trying to stir the pot to get responses? Because your statement is completely laughable if you are actually, seriously saying that Hollywood and the media, in general, don't have an agenda. Bozell doesn't have to be selective. Media bias, and their continuing efforts to make deviancy seem mainstream, are front and center on the television and on the movie screens every day.

Look, I watch lots of movies, and I'm not offended. The shrill obsession with getting "Hollywood" would evaporate in a flash if the propgandists -- like Bozell -- actually got themselves a real job. There is no Hidden Agenda. It's B.S.

I'm starting to think you actually ARE being serious. I'm not saying it's a "Hidden Agenda". If it were "hidden" we wouldn't know it was happening. No, Hollywood and the complicit media are not even attempting to be clandestine about their agenda - it is blatant, and it is designed to attack traditional values. Look garageman, NO ONE is denying that there are homosexuals, transgendered individuals, or any other way people choose to segment themselves. Conservatives simply say that we don't look at people that way, as libs tell us we do. We simply rebel at being told that they can ONLY be identified by their sexual preferences.

It was a very special disco-themed episode of "Glee" on Fox the other night. A new character named Wade from a different high school shared that he was born in the wrong body. He was black, but he said he felt he was born white and decided to go out on stage at Regionals painted over as a white man. Everyone adored and applauded him as he sang "Boogie Shoes" looking just like the lead singer of KC and the Sunshine Band.

If you actually watch "Glee" or just know Hollywood liberals, you know I'm kidding. Of course, he...
