I'll say this for American non-tolerants like Prof. Youssef. They are not violent and I'm grateful. But, the underlying argument they make is no different now than in the 16th century - demand liberty and religious toleration, but only for themselves. And, presume that there are gays who agree with him as he says, it would not surprise me because, one, you can find someone of almost every opinion and, two, many people who are stigmatized or loathed learn to loathe themselves. But how can some gays agreeing with him make him right if the majority disagreeing doesn't make him wrong? The end of the conservative party in Britain? I doubt it. More likely Republicans here will shed the anti-gay rhetoric.

Anti-gay rhetoric? There's nothing normal about homosexuality, and thinking it so doesn't make it so.

THere is a reason many are so anti-gay-marriage. We gave children to raise. What is hotly debated and force fed to us today will end up in schools and classrooms ten years from now. The contention that this lifestyle is just another choice will be another nail in the coffin of raising normal children. Of course the small percentage of gays will revel in their new "super equality". And our children and families will be the worse off trying to fend off the inclusion and acceptance of this lifestlyle.

The concept of same-sex marriage is ludicrous, and I'm tired of perverts calling good people evil because they're opposed to abominations against decency and God. Homosexuality is a disgusting, filthy practice that leads to nowhere good.

DHE,there's a big difference between "tolerant" and "accommodating".
But I don't expect you will allow yourself to recognize it.

DHE, you said; "you can find someone of almost every opinion and, two,
many people who are stigmatized or loathed learn to loathe themselves"

a) My definition of marriage doesn't indicate an opinion of homosexuality.

b) Many homosexuals suffer with self hatred due to their homosexuality.
Encouraging their begging for straight nomenclature makes us enablers,

On February 5, Britain’s House of Commons voted in favor of legalizing gay marriage. The vote is extremely alarming. It could signal the beginning of the end for Western civilization as we know it.

The idea of same-sex marriage is troubling even to some homosexuals, let alone those who hold a biblical conviction that marriage is intended by the Creator to be between a man and a woman.

The vote, which was 400-175, represented a major crack in the Conservative Party. More than half of its 303 members voted against or abstained from the measure. Prime Minister David Cameron may...
