The Democrats wage a War on Mothers who would like to be free to choose where their kids go to school.
Note: date are all oil shipments in the USA, not only Canadian Oil Sands Crude.
OIl is already moving by rail, and it is booming for the railroad companies. Carloads of oil by year. .. 2009 = 11,000 carloads 2010 = 30,000 carloads 2011 = 60,000 carloads 2012 = 234,000 carloads 2013 estimated = 400,000 carloads Barrels of oil per carload are 550 to 720 depending on weight of oil. Canadian oil sands crude is much heavier than light sweet crude oil such as North dakota Bakken crude.
Mr. Mitchell.... Thanks for writing a great column. Obama's expensive 2009 "Stimulus" actually caused the recovery to be slower than would have been the case without it for the reasons you mentioned. Available funding for the private sector was reduced by the "Stimulus" leading to reduced activity in the private sector. Also, Keynesian theory has been made obsolete by the global economy. The increase in foreign trade makes a big difference. Whatever demand happens to be stimulated by government spending will be met with imports instead of products made in the USA. Obama's 2009 "Stimulus" was funded by money borrowed from China, and the result was production in China was stimulated. Obviously, that's a problem.
John ... This is an outstanding analysis. Regarding the shutdown, it is interesting ti see Uncle Sam spent much more in the shut down month of October than in the prior month. September 2013 ... Total spending = $226.4 billion October 2013 .... Total spending = $290.5 billion. Shut down? .... What shut down?
"Pelosi to Receive Planned Parenthood's Highest Award " An abortion! .... Amazing!
