And now, I've just finished reading "The Reagan Diaries" edited by Douglas Brinkley. I was shocked again by what I read in this book on page 347. Reagan wrote "Half of farming is outside all government agricultural programs and that half is not having any economic problems. Government has led to the present situation for the other half. Having caused the problem, government HAS to help bail out the VICTIMS now, and then work to return farming to its free market." The Mission has NOT been accomplished! A mission deferred is a mission LOST.

And the US taxpayer is still BAILING out the VICTIMS 25 years later. Reagan whole-heartedly and cold heartedly believed in the Marxist redistribution of wealth from America's east and west coasts to America's heartland.

And now, in the year 2012, with farm subsidy handouts and ethanol mandates peaking at $35 billion a year, are we any closer to a free market in agriculture?

Again, why does the vast majority of these farm handouts go to people who are card-carrying members of the Republican Party?

Since you love cut and paste so, I won't bother crafting a custom reply each time either:

Yes, no Democrat would ever think of the Iowa caucuses when a farm bill comes up. I recall those always passing on strict party lines. And Farm Aid was filled with card carrying Republicans too.

Sarcasm, in case you are too sodden with Obama kool aid to recognize it.

1 -off topic spam-bot Soros sponsored BS.

IIt's important to be very careful about accusing political opponents of "lying"; for one thing, I objected when Democrats did it to George W. Bush, when Bush was clearly acting on the best intelligence he (and the world) had, which probably turned out to be mistaken about WMD in Iraq.  "Lying" is when one disseminates information one knows to be untrue, and there was never any evidence that the Bush administration did that.

But it is now clear that the Obama administration's conduct -- characterizing the terrorist attacks in Libya and the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens on 9/11/12 as a...
