Republicans say, "The poor pay nothing for taxes." Again; It is a lie. All Americans pay 15.3% of their income to the government on their first dollar earned up to a limit of about $107k. It's SOCIAL SECURITY and MEDICARE TAXES. Warren Buffet has said that he pays a lower percentage on his income tax than his secretary does. He said his income was one billion U.S. dollars and his secretary made $40k per year. He's a capitalist and a truth teller. I support an additional wartime gas tax to pay for our military efforts in Afghanistan. War is not free as assumed by Republicans reading this.

No, dumba$s.

Normal people, including Republicans, say, "The poor pay no income tax." Which they don't.

How do you know what Buffet's secretary makes? Do you really think that the secretary of a high power man like him makes that little? If he is a "truth teller" as you say, then he must also be a jerk of a boss to pay her so little. Actually, lets assume that he is telling the truth. If that's the case, then his secretary must make more than $200K per year. And furthermore, he is being misleading because his income is not first income anymore but actually investment income. In other words, this is from money that he earned and paid taxes on and then after taxes he risked by investing. If he loses money on those investments, he does not get compensated. BUT if he earns money he must pay taxes, at lower rate of course.

Ridiculous times call for ridiculous statements from the Obama campaign. Campaign spokesperson Jen Psaki said on Air Force One this afternoon there was "grassroots outcry" about Big Bird and therefore the campaign decided to make the now infamous Big Bird ad.

"There's been a strong grassroots outcry over the attacks on Big Bird. This is something that mothers across the country are alarmed about, and you know, we're tapping into that," Psaki told reporters aboard Air Force One on Tuesday.

"The larger point... is, aside from our love for Big Bird and Elmo, as is evidenced...
