He boasted, "I made a loaf of bread cheaper in Moscow than in any town in America." The USSR consistently spent 25% of GDP on defense in the 1950's, the 60's, 70's and the 80's. To think otherwise exhibits NO knowledge of Soviet history. Ronald Wilson Reagan was also an appeaser of Islamic fanaticism. I presume you have never heard of Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Andrei Sakharov, Natan Sharansky or Lech Walesa?
