Reading Mr. Schlicter's column here makes me think about how Dems relate to Repubs and vice versa. Namely, the Demwits are ALWAYS on the attack, both in public and behind the scenes. I hope I'm wrong about this, but it certainly appears that the Repubs do nothing of the sort -- not in public, anymore than by token, or certainly behind the scenes. WEEEELLLLLLL . . . that has to stop!! It's time the Republicans open the can of No More Mr. Niceguy and start taking pages -- whole chapters -- right out of the Demwits' playbook!! We need to start doing the chess game thing and be several steps ahead of them. We need to start laying traps. We need to start playing the media in spite of their leftwing owners. "We" the Congress, that is!!!!

Surely you jest with the re election of the Speechless, Spineless Speaker. The only ones he is tough on are the conservatives in his own party.

For the liberal establishment, “political courage” means a politician spitting in the face of his conservative constituents. The President’s gun proposals demand such political courage, and we conservatives ought to be all for it.

There are people who really believe President Barack Obama is some sort of cunning political grand-master, plotting out the checkmate ten moves ahead of his plodding opponents. Nonsense. He’s actually President Peter Principle, failing ever upward thanks to the disarray of his opponents.

Just when you think he might be clever enough to score his cheap points off of Newtown and turn back to beating the hapless...
