Wow, Zen, I know just how you feel. We should just open up the government coffers and throw some money at this employment problem. That will fix it. Darned Republicans anyway, having no sympathy for the poor. The Dems -- ah, there's the real feel-gooders! They're the ones who really care. I mean, we've all seen it work so many times in this country -- just spend MORE government money, right? That always works. And, besides, you can sit at home and really feel good about how your tax dollars are spent! Ever hear of the War on Poverty? LBJ's Great Society? Landmarks in Dem history, and did it ever create jobs and beautiful neighborhoods!!!

Oh, where's the empathy . . . the empathy????
JAS -- you still don't get it, do you? Just as Adams laid out several bad lines of logic when it comes to aborting the unborn, YOUR line of logic is just as bad. I know, you wanted to come across as all well-thought out and even-minded. But, using your logic, other people would be free to kill whoever and whenever they wanted, simply because "we" don't know what their "journey in life" has led them to or been like for them. Respecting the fact that they may have different values than you and letting it go at that opens some pretty terrible doors.

So, olive -- are you saying that you are totally against ALL measures to put homes into the hands of those who may not be fully qualified for such loans?? Think carefully here. Because American Dream Act notwithstanding, it was actually CLINTON'S REIGN that "put substantial pressure on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to increase their funding of mortgage loans to lower-income groups," not Bush. And your (no doubt) good friend, Barney Frank was primary in also pushing this pressure down the pike to bring about home ownership for those who were really unqualified. It's a shame that Bush was the type to want to compromise with the demwits, but as with most of his liberal-leaning pushes, the heavy stuff came first from the left. This is why...

Oh, if only . . . But it's sure nice to dream, isn't it, Dr. Adams. I love your stuff, especially when your satire is so firmly rooted in truth, like your fine examples in this column. Keep up the good work, Mike!!!!!!!

Bush Bounces Back

Absolutely right. Bush did several things he shouldn't have. One of his biggest problems was listening to his advisors. IF only he had manned up to being a hard line conservative. For instance, he should not have done No Child Left Behind, the Medicare Prescription bill, or TARP. But I will say for the record, that no one seems to remember that Bush, before signing TARP, conferred with Obama about whether Obama wanted Bush to do it or have Bush leave it for Obama to do after inauguration. Obama let Bush do it, of course, just in case it backfired, no doubt.

Last night, as Matt Lauer tried his hardest, we saw a class act as George W. Bush fielded Lauer's questions with aplomb. Try as he might, Lefty Lauer could not lodge a significant hit on Bush. Bush's secret -- he was just too honest, open, and even self-deprecating. Class. Contrast that tough interview to the relatively soft-ball interview between Jon Stewart and Obambo just recently. Obambo got his feathers ruffled pretty easily, got defensive, his tone and volume went up, and he pointed his finger frequently. Awwww. We all know there's no way Matt Lefty Lauer would ever attack the Great One like he tried to trip up Bush last night. But can you imagine Obambo popping some neck veins if he did???? Hooh, brother!!! I'd pay to see that.

Advice to the GOP: No Compromise

Desert Rat6 Wrote: Nov 05, 2010 1:09 PM
While I think that it would be equally funny and just to go ahead and have key Republicans occasionally mimic Obambo's lines about "we won and you didn't," I also think that the more important method of driving that message home is to NOT COMPROMISE. MESSAGE TO THE WINNERS: Do not compromise with those scaliwags across the aisle. There is nothing noble about that. It is not why you were elected. It is not what the majority of Americans want to see. Clear? DO NOT COMPROMISE. In spite of anything the MSM throws at you; no matter how twisted or double-dealing the demwits may be in their comments to the MSM and the public -- Hold The Line!!!! AGAIN -- NO COMPROMISE, NO COMPROMISE, NO COMPROMISE. No one will respect you for it. No one.
As usual, Star is right on the money here. Me thinks the NAACP (and other black groups) speaketh with a forked tongue. And to grab another analogy, I'm reminded of Orwell's "Animal Farm." Man, that power has a way of corrupting, doesn't it, Jesse?? "We're all equal, but some are more equal than others." If you're black and you don't tow the (PC) line, you'd better watch out. Because the black masses sho' ain't gonna be backin' you up!!!!
European countries are now beginning to abandon socialist practices. The UK is in the middle of CUTTING social programs. Say WHAT??!?! Oh, yeah! Can't you just see what would happen in this country if we got someone like New Jersey Governor Christie in the White House and he began to cut social programs?? But, that's dreaming -- Obambo is just getting started with his profligate spending. Already more than all US presidents through Reagan. WOW!! And I never thought I wouldv'e wanted Hillary for Prez!!! Oh well -- anyone can be wrong, eh, you folks who voted the annointed one in???
