Fracking has been going on for over 150 years in the US. In the early days it was done with nitroglycerin and was called well shooting. It was a very dangerous business, fortunately new techniques have been developed and there is little if any danger in the short or long term from it use, that is not totally offset by the energy provided for human betterment.

Say you were a politician, and there was a domestic energy source available that’s clean and abundant. One that has the potential to create new jobs and revitalize local economies. Would you do more to encourage it?

Silly question, you may be thinking. Why wouldn’t you do more to encourage it?
