There are a couple of issues with this "study". I'm a liberal gay man who's in the middle to lower income levels. I don't give to the Salvation Army because they explicitly use their donations to fight against basic rights for the LGBT community. I do, however, give to many other charities - both religious and non-religious. As far as donating blood, if it were not for federal law barring me from donating, I would donate quite regularly.
