The situation is actually worse than Romney said. According to last week's unemployment stories only 63% of the eligible workforce actually works, or are even looking. The rest have "Given up Looking," or are "Stay at Home Moms," or "Seasonal - not Currently Looking," or "Perfectly Happy on Welfare Programs" (Think Uncle Onyango and Aunt Zeituni). Of the workers (wage earners) 47% pay no Income Taxes meaning that 53% do pay tax. Thus (100 x 63% x 53%) = 33.39% of us left working and paying Income Tax to redistribute our wealth to everyone else.
Mitt Romney has conceded that his thoughts, expressed at that Boca Raton, Fla., fundraiser, were "not elegantly" stated. Those mocking him might concede he has tabled one of the mega-issues of our time.

Can America continue down the path President Obama is taking us on, to a time soon and certain when a majority of wage-earners pay no income taxes but a majority of citizens receive federal benefits?
