If the Republicans start following the recommendation of Lisa Murkowski and allow the extension of the taxpayer financed credit for wind power in the middle of $trillion deficits, the Republican Party might as well disband. They seem to have already lost 52% of American voters and, doing that stuff, they will also lose the other 48%.

One of the important agenda items for the lame duck session of the 112th Congress is the extension of the Production Tax Credit (PTC) for wind energy. The PTC is set to expire December 31 and Congress estimates that extending it for one year will cost about $12 billion. I’ve written on it repeatedly.
