Bain Capital successfully invested in or acquired many well-known companies such as; Accuride, Brookstone, Domino's Pizza, Sealy Corporation, Sports Authority, and Artisan Entertainment, and Romney was asked to and he did successfully restore the economic viability of the 2002 Winter Olympics ! Those were all successful and there were some others that were not ! Bains first big success came with a 1986 investment to help start Staples Inc, after founder Thomas Stemberg convinced Romney of the market size for office supplies; Bain Capital eventually reaped a nearly sevenfold return on its investment, and Romney sat on the Staples board of directors for over a decade.

Perry's-Texas-jobs-went-mostly-81%-to-illegal-aliens, newly-arrived-immigrants ! Although Texas was one of the only states with a significant gain in employment, the native-born did very poorly over this time period. Govt data shows there were about 280,000 more people working in Texas in the 2cnd qtr of 2011 than in the same qtr of 2007. In the 2cnd qtr of 2011 there were 225,000 immigrants, legal-illegal, working in the state who indicated that they arrived in our country between the 2cnd qtr of 2007 - 2cnd qtr of 2011. Thus the employment gains of newly arrived immigrants, 225,000, equaled 81% of total employment growth, 280,000. Over the same time period the employment situation for native-born workers deteriorated signicantly !
