General McCrystal will get his butt kicked today. He may even be fired although, that is doubtful. Its just too complicated. Could be wrong about that but the point remains the same, regardless. General McCrystal was politically moronic. What he did was outside the traditions we all depend on related to civilian control of the military. Is Richard Holbrook a pain in the ass? Is Ambassador Eikenberry a butt covering bureaucrat” Yes to both. However, to General McCrystal we must say “Can’t stand it, resign!” Say what you want to say, but not in uniform. This is a leadership failure on your part, correct it if you can. I agree with Robert Gibbs, it’s should be about the people on the ground fighting the war, about what’s...
When the argument really does come down to a moral compass, there is darkness ahead indeed. The long painful march of today's left depends on the absence of a moral compass. The ideology is dependant on relativism and the ability to hold one's nose over issues that the you say are reprehensible but become acceptable where there is the smallest thread of common interest!!

Europe's Lack Of Discipline

Mr. Will is as usual, historically correct and very much on point. If you add to his analysis the demographic crisis looming for Europe, the unassimilated immigrant populations that have exploded in the last two decades, a lethargic economy, the overall history of federations, the move to secularization and the growth of Muslim influence in Europe Mr. Will's premise is supported further.
