Here are some examples of what Kyoto participating countries learned about wind power:

• Germany had 20,000 MW of installed capacity wind power but in reality generated only 2,000 MW of usable electricity. Wind speeds were so inconsistent that the actual output is but a fraction of the capacity or load factor.
