What parable of Jesus would apply in this situation?

The Republican Party has broken many PROMISES. We conservatives missed the boat during the eight year George W. Bush 'Reign of Error' spending spree. The Republican Party oversaw a two and a half times larger increase in goob-mint than when 'Bubba' Clinton was president. The Republican administration gave airline companies a $17 billion taxpayer gift in 2001 after 9-11 - NOT PAID FOR. Republicans doubled the size of the Department of Education - NOT PAID FOR Republicans mandated ethanol subsidies. - NOT PAID FOR Republicans increased pork barrel spending from 3,000 to 14,000 annual projects. - NOT PAID FOR Republicans added another entitlement spending program. (Medicare Prescription) NOT PAID FOR

Many of today's conservatives like to boast that they give more to charity than the liberals do. How is this measured? Who gives more, a poor person who gives their last dollar or a billionaire who gives a million dollars to charity? What did Jesus say about this? How does one measure one's 'time' given to charity?
