wblair, Try this new capability sometime: it's called "Google": "The Democratic Party's Two-Facedness of Race Relations", http://www.huffingtonpost.com/the-relentless-conservative/the-democratic-partys-two_b_933995.html. The quote came from Ronald Kessler's book, "Inside the White House."

sasha, Spare me. There's this thing called "perspective", i.e., the single distasteful incident you cited involving Cohran in Mississippi is overwelmingly eclipsed by the ENTIRE Democrat Party machine throwing out multiple RACE cards on a daily basis in order to shame/silence their critics. Stop applying "moral equivalence".

A seemingly well-intentioned & overtly innocuous legislation, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 has formed the basis of a "slippery slope" due to its current misapplication. This bit of legislation has been twisted by the left as the basis for “institutionalized racism", i.e., Affirmative Action/Quotas.

Blacks also commit over 90% of all interracial violence, i.e., black on white.
The Progressives were able to rally the entitled, e.g., women-children, weakminded, e.g., union thugs, and easily led, e.g., name the minority, to elect and re-elect the "Redistributionist-Of The-US" (ROTUS). But look at Progressive losses in 2010. The 2014 midterms will likely be a tsunami by comparison and the Republicans will take over the Senate.
Denmark, The "sainted poor" aren't sitting under a tree waiting for a check, they're watching TV while texting with their "obamaphones", while waiting for their checks. That being said Q: Where did you obtain said information? Q: What do you consider low income? Q: How many of the working poor are uneducated illegal/legal 3rd world escapees? Q: Did the increase in the number low wage jobs result from increased industrial automation which decreased the number of union high-wage, no-skill jobs? BTW "Greed" in the form of entitlement is no virtue; likewise being charitable with other people's income/opportunities is no virtue. Like a typical progressive ineffectual do-gooder you blame everyone else but the so-called poor themselves.
Corporations have nothing to do with the right since they support Statism to the extent that the "state" is employed to regulate their smaller competitors out of business. Hence, Hitler was a Fascist not a corporatist rightist- as if such a thing existed.
Yourfacts... Don't dislocate your arm as you continue to pat yourself on the back.
But judging historical figures, e.g., Dead White Males, solely by today's politically correct standards is somewhat disingenuous and endemic to the White-male hating Left.

First Step for Ferguson

Does anyone notice the volume and number of "professionally indignant" roaming the streets of Ferguson all day and late into the evening? Anyone with an actual Taxpaying job in that mob? All I see is public assistance dollars at work.
