There's no end of alternate suppliers of cream filled sponge cakes and other baked snack cakes. You should see all the brands I do whenever I go into a bodega in a predominantly hispanic neighborhood. None of them are as well known as the big national bakeries products but many of them are just as good.

Labor Unions have officially killed off the Twinkie. The company that makes the yummy treat announced today they will start to downsize operations (a.k.a. fire people) as a result of a long battle with union workers.
