While Ms. Lewis wasn't in charge of the teachers' union when my kids were young, the union itself hasn't been working on behalf of students for more than forty years. My students were properly educated at parochial schools and, I have since learned, the public schools have deteriorated even more, thanks to the demmie/progressive, overbearing, un-American unions. But the clowns in Springfield still cater to the unions that put them, and keep them, in office. And she's an example of the worst, pronouncing the word "ask" as "axe."

The Chicago Teachers Union is not just about looking out for its members’ interests. The union wants to fundamentally change America, too.
