The evil committed at Sandy Hook is why God sent His Son -- it is why we have Christmas.

No, Christ-Mass is a perversion of the religion of Christ.

It is a churchification of a former pagan holy day.

In the mass, Jesus is supposedly literally sacrificed.

On Christ-Mass He is supposedly sacrificed three times.

And this contrary to very plain and clear scripture that boldly declares He was sacrificed ONCE for all and that offering made His people forever perfect (Heb 10:10-14).

In celebrating the mass, Catholics deny the inspired Word that declares Christ's singular one time offering of His own body as all that was necessary for salvation.

I see no problem with celebrating the birth of Christ.

And that post of yours is an example of legalism. Yes we know the history of Christmas, but that's NOT what we commorate, those of us who are believers. Yes Christmas has fallen into fallen man's materialistic greed BUT the point of the celebration is the celebration that EMANNUEL, God with us came to earth and not necessarily in December..the date doesn't really matter, what really matters is that HE, God in the Flesh, came down from Heaven and
became a lowly peasant when he is KING OF KINGS, as a baby, born in a stable for us, for our REdemption from the wrath of GOD. I don't really care what the historic background
is about Christmas being a replacement for a roman pagan celebration..because me and mine
celebrate CHRIST and HIM

And the evil that exists in all of our hearts.
I can't imagine anything more painful for a person than the loss of one's child, and so I won't pretend that I can adequately express the horror of the savage murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

When such tragedies occur, most of us engage in sober reflection about the preciousness of life and especially of our own loved ones. As much as we hurt for the families who lost children at the hands of this murderer, we thank God our children are safe.

But we know it can happen to any parent; these victims did absolutely nothing to provoke this...
