Look, I worked there for 12 years and left do the BS that took place on a daily basis. The union, workers and management were all guily of imcompetence or just plain old ignorance or work ethics. Folks would call in sick all week and then show up to work regular ot and then double time on their 7th day off. Workers would have a fit and do less work when you told them to complete their assigned task. The union was constatnly telling workers to slow down on the work so that the USPS would have to hire more workers and also dish out more OT. Everytime management attempted to make something work for the better the union would fight it. The management side was so incompetent that it made anyone trying to do a good job just give up.

Isn't that true with all unions, private and public?

I would add, in private industry I don't think management has much of a choice when it comes to union control and the work rules. This will never change unless and until we have Right to Work legislation in every state and/or National Right to Work laws. The only reason Union GOONs have the power to intimidate is because they launder money to the DemonRATS who have smoothed the way for the GOONS, including exemptions from intimidation of people who refuse to go along. Wisconsin has shown the Country the vileness of UNIONS and believe me they are out in force to STEAL the recall. If you think about it, the UNION GOONS (no so much most of the rank and file,) are Barry's private 'army.'
And we will see what the 'thug/thugettes' are...

The Postal Service is in crisis, yet unions and some members of Congress continue to block reform.
