BHO is so ridiculously shallow. His whole national defense position was that America has created our enemies and that Bush was a war criminal. On one hand he talked of meeting openly with head Iranian terrorist Ahmadinejad, on the other he sends the SEALS to take out OBL. Not opportunistic or anything.
This is how a true problem solver (Mitt Romney) approaches a seriously jacked-up situation. Obama defined himself, his loyalties and his callousness when he went after the D.C. Opporunity Scholarship program. His justification was, "it's not enough." Meaning- this is working great but it leaves the rest of schools in the country behind so we'll shut it down.
I usually have more constructive things to contribute than just lavish praise, but good job, Ann! Your father would be proud.

I'm going to be a nerd for a few minutes... Remember the Prime Directive from Star Trek laid out during The Next Generation? It's the sacred tenet of the United Federation of Planets that basically says you don't make contact with alien civilizations until they have advanced to the point that they have warp technology. Well, not only have we made contact with such a civilization, we have, in a sense, given them warp technology. By buying their oil (for what reason, its superior quality?) we have deprived them of any chance of thriving by the virtue of their industry... With striving comes growth, with growth comes character. Character needs to be the root of any economy.

The Left's War on Babies

Great article. The last line sums it up very well: "But somehow, the left and their media allies define Rubio's view as a "war on women" -- no matter how many female babies are discarded as medical waste." Herein lies the hypocrisy. No feminist cares about "future women" being aborted. In honor of this I've come up with an appropriate bumper sticker for pro-choicers: I SUPPORT MY DAUGHTERS RIGHT TO CHOOSE... SO SHE CAN ABORT HER DAUGHTER.
Pleading the fifth is so unconventional for this administration. Usually they can just say, "I can't remember," or "I was sick that day."

I think you've got a messy paradox going there. Republicans don't believe in reactionary taxes and Democrats don't believe in war. That aside, where is this coming from and how is it relevant?

... Must we have this conversation again? As governor of MA Romney took a steward of the state roll. He went in under the condition not to fight the will of the people, but to serve a special function. They wanted universal health care, he provided them a version (for the 9% of the uninsured.) Amidst doing so he also balanced the budget and ended his term with a sizable surplus... What this election is going to come down to is the character of the voters. Are they going to go off rhetoric and hearsay to pick a candidate? Or are they going go off actual track-records. Yes, Romney can destroy Obama, but he's also well equipped to save the economy and set an example of a solid, upstanding president.
