Dear Ms. Zito, this is not the right time for Compromise. The House of Representatives (The People's House) was specifically designed to control the power of the purse. Boehner failed to make use of the great compromise which is The United States Constitution. Default can only be accomplished by Tim Geithner. We have more than enough revenue to pay for Debt Service, National Defense, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. The compromise should have occurred in defunding unnecessary bureaucracies.

These things alone make Government health care programs unsustainable simply because tax dollars that go to The Treasurer rarely make it to the poor and unhealthy. Personal health care is just that. It's personal. A jolly band of Robbers on Capitol Hill are going to do nothing more than restrict the individual ability to obtain the finest health care on Earth. It's been going on for quite some decades now. Government intervention has involved restricting free trade between the several States. Within the states, Government intervention has involved allowing Ambulance Chasers to restrict quality health care by way of astronomical prices for services and also has involved legislated requirements to purchase coverage for services neither desired, necessary, nor applicable to individuals.

5 August 2011 Dear Mr. Gerson, the people who crafted The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution had no hesitation to install the values of our Creator into Government Policy at the very inception of this nation. They clearly stated that each and every human being has a right to life. National Defense provides such. They clearly stated that each and every human being has a right to Liberty. The lack of Government interference for about 150 years produced a society in which Poverty became nothing more than an option. And, truly, since our Creator stated, at the hand of Matthew (6:24-33 but most salient in Verse 33), that he shall personally care for the welfare of them who have faith in him.
