I presume that Mr. Limbaugh chose the title he did because tradition has it that when Lord Cornwallis surrendered at the Siege of Yorktown (1781) the British band played this tune. However in the name of accuracy it should be titled America turned upside down. What is happening should come as no surprise to Christians. "You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. "The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and ONLY A FEW ever find it. " Matthew 7:13-14, emphasis added. The thing the "Founding Fathers" feared most is Mob rule, a/k/a pure democracy. The majority will always choose to follow "God of this world".

Except that until comparatively recently, if you said any one of the examples in front of a mob, the next thing that happened would be they lynched you. You think Dawkins, Planned Parenthood, or that lunatic at Tulane represent the majority?

As Bill Buckley said, "I'd rather be ruled by the first hundred names in the Boston phone book than the faculty of Harvard." The "mob" is to the right what the "man" is to the left—an imaginary bogeyman that, to the slight extent it exists at all, has characteristics mostly opposite those attributed to it.

Increasingly today, what is undeniably evil is depicted as good and what most traditionalists, at least, used to agree is good passes often for evil.

What's striking to me is that many aren't merely rationalizing evil in an attempt to excuse their indefensible actions. They have systematically turned our entire moral code upside down. They have attacked the very basis...
