Bubbalou.... Being one of those veterans that work as a contractor for the federal government, I can assure you that 1) they don't pay for their retirement and benefits packages (although they can also contribute to an additional 401k), 2) the biggest majority of them sit behind a desk making rules and regulations that do NOT need to be made, 3) them paying income tax on salaries that come from income taxes in the first place is more like the government giving money to Joe, Joe takes his cut, and gives the rest back to the government. It's not a matter of trashing the workers, it"s a matter of trashing the government process.
