"My sister told us she was a lesbian in 1979 or 1980 when she was in college" - That would explain why you kept bringing up woman/woman. "Since then I have extremely close contact with many lesbians." - Which won't teach you anything if you don't know what to look for. Or if you only see what they want you to. "She has been in several long term relationships herself" - Several long-term relationships is an interesting, and very telling, oxymoron.
