Yes, it is perfectly logical to believe that every "thing" came into being out of "NO things" - is that what you are boasting about having "figured out" from "thinking for yourself" ? I'm not sure you want to tout that as the reason why people should "think for themselves".

Why is there God instead of nothing? What are the odds that there would be a God that would craft this EXACT universe?

Bringing in God only pushes that kind of question back another step, it doesn't answer them.

Those are the kinds of questions that you'd like to think stump those you disagree with, but ultimately they don't make sense.

There has to be a beginning somewhere, and that beginning is God. Just because you don't understand or accept him as being the "final" step doesn't change that.

Well...nothing has always = nothing. On the other hand, call the Bible a history book then. The cities, wars, people, kings, Jesus, Apostles, were all real. The Apostles wrote the book from their personal experiences or inspiration from God. Why do people think it's a fairy tale? It's proved it self many times over. Our host, Michael Brown wrote a he a fairy tale or what he writes about?

Why wouldn't an all powerful God "craft" another universe? He can do it all day long if He chooses, and I'm sure He has and is! We limit Him because we have limits. He does not! The fact that we have a book, read very little.. about our human history.. of man isn't proof enough? The book goes back to the beginning of mans knowledge of human life and it's beginnings. People WRITE THAT STUFF DOWN!! Then centuries later, the Jews kept meticulous records of everything including the 7th day, why do you think they keep it?! BTW, the 7th day is not a "Jewish Sabbath" as many say, it was given to ALL men at creation, to keep us close to our Creator. Again, They are known for keeping impeccable records that's why they keep Gods holy day.

Perhaps it is you who doesn't understand. Can you imagine time not existing? I can.

I do understand what you are expressing. I simply do not accept it. There is not adequate evidence to support your extraordinary claim.

According to a recent poll conducted by the Pew Research Center, almost one in three Americans under the age of 30 doubt that God exists, while, in contrast, the figure for Americans over the age of 65 is less than one in ten. Could there be a connection between the fatherlessness of this younger generation and their struggles with faith? According to a theory called “the psychology of atheism,” the answer might well be yes.

But first, some caveats. 1) There are many reasons why people struggle with the issue of faith, so it would be wrong to think that “one...
