I did not say it can not be deviant. I said it is sometimes commanded by God. The bible is replete with examples. Now, it is true that it is not often condoned by Him, but it is, on occasion commanded by Him. I am fully aware of His position in regards to polygamy. Pedophilia is a small subset of molestation. So, yes. Or are you still in favor of stoning adulterers and cutting off the hands of thrives? If the punishment is devastating to perpetrator and victim et al then it is counterproductive. It it is watered down to the point of uselessness, it is ineffectual and harmful and in some cases deadly.

Are you projecting? Most who advocate the harshest treatment are they themselves burdened with the inclination or deviancy.
