This type of thinking is EXACTLY why we are in the mess we are in now. We spent a stimulus in 2009 and the Senate hasn't approved a budget since then. The law states spending continues at the previous years amounts if no budget is passed. This means we have spent a "stimulus" of 800 billion EVERY SINGLE YEAR since 2009 and the economy is still tanking. Do you understand that when spending is too high it DEPRESSES the economy? Go watch some Milton Freidman lectures and he can explain it much better than I can. I will tell you that there is ZERO evidence he is wrong and tons of evidence Maynard Keynes WAS.

Saw this yesterday and it's a shame the MSM ignores baseline budgeting. Yes, we basically have had stimulus level spending every year. Sadly, it was never about true stimulus. The bulk of this money went to liberal constituency groups like teachers unions.

Well said.

Spending is the #1 issue. Not war. Not gays in the army. Not guns. Not women in combat. Spending.

We have high unemployment because of spending, because of government regulation, because of taxes, and most of all because of regime uncertainty.
Welcome to an America with liberalism in full ascendancy as golfer Phil Mickelson apologizes for doing nothing wrong while the Obama administration lambasts its opponents for justly demanding it apologize for doing plenty wrong on Benghazi.

Welcome to a land where the gravest problem threatening the nation is spending, where the Democratic president refuses to cut, where the Democratic Senate lawlessly refuses to pass a budget and where Democrats thwart congressional GOP efforts to enact spending and entitlement reform, yet the public is conned into believing that Republicans are the problem.

Welcome to a culture in which the political left is frighteningly intolerant...
