Getting out punishment is important, but not as important as mitigating the damage done. Since the IRS has admitted culpability in its illegal attempt to suppress the voices of conservative 501(c)(3)(4) groups before the 2012 elections, it now becomes their responsibility to mitigate the damage done to these organizations. At the very least all immigration amnesty legislation should be tabled until after the 2014 elections to give the Tea Party a chance to be heard on this subject in its true voice, at its proper level. Also each state legislature should be called into a one-day session to adopt an "Article V" motion that would make IRS employees who engage in using the IRS to punish their political enemies a "criminal offense".
