Listening to a Liar: Part II

I was sorry to have not heard Congressman Wilson shout "Liar!" at the President because at that exact same moment I was shouting "Liar!" at the TV. Actually there were several other opportunities to do so and, I must admit, I did.

In a travel book published in England in 1803, by Rev. Thomas Smith, titled "Asiatic Provinces." the author visited--then--Arabia. On page 156 of this little book the Rev. Smith makes the following observation: "...One of the first prejudices instilled into the breast of an Arabian child is the inveterate hatred against all Christians, and this becomes so strengthened by age that there are few individuals who would not consider the assassination of a Christian as a meritorious action-"

The Politics of Personality

In observing Barak Obama I have come to the split conclusion that:
1) He is really smarter than he makes himself out to be and there is a sinister reason behind it or
2) He is really dumber that he seems to be and there are sinister forces behind him or
3) a combination of both.
I truly believe that the present process of "spreading the wealth" will eventually result in the process of concentrating the proceeds of "free enterprise" into the hands of the leading government bureaucrats, just as it did in the old Soviet Union. They will get the sausages while the rest of us will get long lines and rationing.
Why is Obama so intent on influencing children who won't be able to vote for him in 2012 or 2016? Unless he is planning on pulling a Chavez/Zelaya on us and eliminate presidential term limits. Mr. President, keep your hands out of our childrens'/grandchildrens' minds!

The War on the Book

Yes, great! No more heavy books to carry from class to class. Go on to all the latest electronic gadgets. What happens with the power goes out, or when batteries go dead, or you step on your Kindle and smash it flat? Along with this there is a terrible unawareness of the billions of people who cannot afford the gadgets. For me there is no real delight like sitting in a good chair and reading a good book. History has been impacted countless times by the appearance of a book. I have an electronic Bible but when I really want to read or study the Good Book I have a printed copy, and can underline, hightlight, meditate on, learn from, cross-check, etc. The disappearance of books will mean the disappearance of freedom.

Voters Seeing Red Over ACLU Attack

One person is offended, but many thousands are offended by the reason that one is offended. Should not the "liberty" to be offended apply both ways? In that case the "offense" of many should nullify the "offense" of one.

A few years ago my wife and I were taking a taxi to a motel. The driver was from SE Asia and told us he was looking forward to vote for the first time in the upcoming elections. I asked him who he was going to vote for? He told me "The one who will give me the most." Any questions?

I'm Moving to Fox

"Give us a break!" And your coming to Fox is giving us the break we need--honest, thoughtful, digging, iconoclastic reporting.
Oh boy!!! I hope it is real soon. One suggestion--addressing the efforts of so many who try to redefine Christian theology. There is so much ignorance revealed when reporters try to explain what Christian's really believe when all they have heard has been fed them by equally ignorant professors, educators, etc.
