FDR prolonged the great depression by employing the spend our way out of it policies that even hie treasury secretary admitted in 1939 had not worked. Anyone who thinks WWII got us out of the depression is wrong. The depression ended only after FDR finally began to listen to business men after the war and cut taxes and government spending.
