Boxer, Fiorina and the Endless Recovery

Let's repeat it again for Boxer and others who always want to vilify the rich when it comes to tax cuts. *Federal Personal Income tax paid by: Top 1% of wage earners ($388,806 and up) - 39.89% Top 5% of wage earners ($153,542) – 60.14% Top 10% of wage earners ($108,904) – 70.79% Top 25% of wage earners ($64,702) – 86.27% Top 50% of wage earners ($31,987) – 97.01% Bottom 50% of wage earners (< $31,987) – 2.99% Bottom 47% of wage earners paid NOTHING Who’s paying taxes? Who deserves the tax cuts? What are the rich getting away with? Of the nearly 112 million private sector jobs in America, how many do you think were created by the bottom 50 percenters of taxpayers? Burn these numbers into your mind the next time you are in...

What Is President Obama Thinking?

Well said, Neal. The Tea Party (that's not a party thank goodness) must continue to inform ALL Americans. We must smartly debate, dig for facts, stay passionate without turning to hatred of fellow Americans, even our puppet president. I have 5 kids between 18 and 27. Three voted for Obama even though I held open discussions with them. I promote free thinking and debate with them. They were all in college hearing a different tune. They have since come back from the socialist trappings, and I have never told them they were wrong. They thought their way out. We must encourage all our fellow Americans, friends, family, co-workers, teachers, etc., to find their way out of this 'Progressive' delusion and see what it is doing to our...

The defense bill is an overly complicated bill, typical of congress and one that supports the need for line item vetos. That said, Obama would still veto the Joint Strike Fighter and the two engine principle because it emulates private sector thinking, i.e., competitive free-market thinking. God forbid this government ever act like that.

Obama's Wandering Economic Message

David720 Wrote: Sep 01, 2010 10:24 AM
Amazing how Bush's Tax cuts are always connected to the statement that they 'favor the wealthy.' Last time I (as in I R S) checked, the top 1% paid 39.89% of federal taxes the top 5% paid 60.14% of federal taxes the top 50% paid 97.01% of federal taxes 47% PAID NOTHING (A source for doubters to check: http://bit.ly/ae86Eo ) Now ask yourself why tax cuts shouldn't favor the rich. WHEN OH WHEN are we going to reduce the tax levying hunger of a Federal Government and return sane management to the states?
When lead was discovered to be harmful to our bodies, we did two things: We educated people on this danger and we passed laws prohibiting the manufacture of products containing lead. The latter only worked for domestic products, as we continued importing products containing lead (although this is diminishing). But it is the former tact that worked the best. Educate. As a parent, when I go to the store I will not buy something containing lead (or mercury - all future light bulbs - another story). I don't think about the law when I do this. I think about the knowledge I have gained about the effects of lead. My point is this. Educate us on the truth and we will shop for journalists who speak the truth. NBC, CBS, ABC and all their...

Something for Nothing

Mr. Williams, You are dead on about our contributions to SS (even though I will never see a dime back - I've done the math) and that I pay it all, but your title of SOMETHING FOR NOTHING is unfortunately wrong. When it comes to contributing to our country, close to half (47%) of Americans pay NOTHING when it comes to federal taxes (fact check - http://yhoo.it/dBESEf). Further study will show that this same percentage receive most of the federal assistance paid for by others. I wonder how many of those 47 percenters hired someone. When the issue of tax breaks comes about, guess which percent complains the most? We have become a country of entitlements, hand-outs and bailouts. I am asking you and your readers to begin voicing your...
I could list 6 or 7 other (liberal) prime time journalists that choose their agenda over a news story that has been rightly investigated and unbiased in nature, but their names are slipping from my memory. I haven't watched a Williams broadcast in so long, he no longer pains me. And that is how we neuter these guys. Stop watching. Stop talking about them. Stop quoting them. That doesn't mean we stop debating them, but it does mean we continue to investigate, base arguments on facts, admit when our message is wrong, and seek what is best for our country. Maybe the next person to debate Barry will bring the ammo and have the guts to speak it. Then Williams and his clownish team can ask all the hard questions they want and get solid...
