You need to actually read the Constitution. Then get back to me.
Nonsense. Critical thinkers start with a hypothesis. They draw conclusions based on evidence. People wed to doctrine first, have assumed that same-sex marriage is bad. Then through selective observation they find arguments to support the predetermined conclusion. It's intellectually dishonest. Goldwater was far more than a fiscal conservative. You need to brush up on history.
So you are a proponent of Christian-style sharia? This is about civil law - not religious belief. Don't you get that?
Prove what? I cannot bring Barry back from the dead and, as I am sure you know, Mr. Olson is the lead attorney in the Prop 8 case.
Hint folks: True conservatives respect the First Amendment INCLUDING the Establishment Clause. Ted Olson does and he is one of the founders of the ultra-conservative Federalist Society. Were "Mr. Conservative" Barry Goldwater around today, he would be a proponent of equal marriage.
Translation: In 2003 the Pope declared that it is the duty of every Catholic to oppose legal recognition of same-sex unions. Prager is doing his part by reorganizing the National Organization for Marriage talking points starting with the "redefinition" BS. The rest is just slippery slope, nonsensical drivel.
Mr. Brown wrote this piece because of reactions like this to his prior polemic http://bit.ly/Pqy94p .
Bill, you are merely displaying your ignorance. Gay couples often adopt hard to place children. Doing so is a very good thing for those kids and for society.
I don't know what a "trophy child" is. Gays are proud of their children just as straights are. Is there something wrong with that? OK, that's a rhetorical question but you get the point.
Gays fare about as well in an Islamic republic as they do in our Bible Belt which is rather telling. If I put my mind to it I can be as hyperbolic and intellectually superficial as you.
A marriage exists to create a marital estate. That's it. Nothing more complicated than that.
