The program is not funded to accommodate all future recipients. The math is so simple that even a liberal should be able to do it. The fact is that liberals don't care about the bottom line- never have, never will. Congress has been spending money we don't have for decades. For liberals, unabated spending is seemingly without consequence. Soc. Sec. is a ponzi sceme and is no longer the program it was designed to be. Then, again, most liberal programs don't achieve the stated intention, but rather only serve to employ liberals and further the liberal ideology.

The U.S. birth rate just hit a new low which has liberal media outlets like NPR pointing out that Medicare and Social Security are in trouble as a result. Why? Because the program isn't being paid for with money former workers put into the system, that's already been spent by the government, but by young people currently working.
