For the record, the spending like drunken sailor GOP congress critters were tossed out in 2006 because they wouldn't stop spending other people's money and lying about it. 2006 was about Democrats sounding more fiscally conservative than almost every Republican. They were lying too, but they didn't have a current six year record of spending and lying.
