One quick red flag is that they are out of state. It is much more difficult to hold one of these shysters accountable over state lines. I found that they never do business in-state. Your State Attorney runs an office to hunt for scum like these, and they will fight for you "if" you are a voter in their state.

I’m trying to help my son and daughter-in-law by encouraging them to get out of debt and live on a budget. It hasn’t been a problem to give them money when they’ve asked in the past, but I’m afraid they’re still in a mess. How can I make sure I’m doing the right thing?
