Save Us From the Intellectuals

Most liberals arrive at their "beliefs" by deciding how they "feel" about an issue, not by thinking it through logically. When challenged, they get indignant because you are calling them on their illogic, and they don't like it. Hence, you are "stupid", "selfish", "evil" or being bribed by "big business". They will never allow for the possibility that you have done what they did not: think it through.

Sociopathic Intellectuals on 9/11

We conservatives do not fear these self-described intellectuals — perhaps they should fear us. We know these folks for what many of them are; goose-stepping little fascists. They are fascists because of their slavish devotion to the State (as long as people they favor are running it, that is). They fancy themselves to be intellectuals because they automatically, like a jerking knee, take the opposite view to everything held dear in the country at large. It is really just an intellectual laziness. They think always being contrary sets them apart from the rest of us, because they are "thoughtful, and they see beyond the obvious, the problems are sooo complex, that the common people cannot be expected to understand", yada, yada,...

The Mosque Controversy

David1692 Wrote: Aug 31, 2010 4:41 PM
Sadly, for the folks who support this nonsense, "Tolerance" is one way — FROM US, TO EVERYONE with a grievance, imagined or otherwise. Its also funny how this crowd fervently support the Constitution, only when they can use it against our own interests. The purpose of the mosque is obvious. If it gets built, it will be used by the supporters of Islamo-fascism to show the Moslem world that they are winning against the evil United States. (Otherwise, how could it have been built, will be their argument.) This mosque will be an invaluable recruiting tool for terrorists. Another lasting gift for us from Obama and others of his ilk.
It is only a matter of time before we find ourselves with $7 dollars per gallon gasoline at the pump. I'm sorry to say that is what Obama and the environmentalists have wanted all along. Question — how can you sustain an economy with energy that expensive? The Great Depression lasted about 12 years. How long will the new Obama-created depression last?

At the risk of sounding like an EXTREMIST(?) ....

Is it too soon to be thinking of the "I-word"? IMPEACHMENT?

I know, articles of impeachment can only be drawn up for "high crimes and misdemeanors".

Is crushing incompetence a "misdemeanor"?

Can total unsuitability for the job at hand be a reason to remove the President from office?

How much more of this can the nation stand?

We are only eleven months into this sorry spectacle. Our enemies are watching.
Yours is a typical leftist response. When you guys are out-argued, as you are continually, because your arguments lack merit, you scream "Bigot!"

Those of us who oppose Mr. Obama's policies do so because they are simply bad for the country. I could not care less what his skin color is. He is simply a bad president, as we are witnessing day after day. Our economy cannot sustain this kind of spending.

A question for those of you on the left: When you attain your Leftist Nirvana of freebies for everyone, who do you think will pay for it? If I have a choice of working 60 hour weeks and watching the extra money I earn disappear in higher taxes, or taking it easy, and working 32 hours a week, and bringing home essentially the...

Nuclear Posturing, Obama-Style

The Obama policy makes perfect sense if you understand that he believes that the United States is responsible for most of the world's problems.

So then, Dr. Obama's prescription? America must withdraw from the world. Everything will be alright, if we just get small......

Imagine the great vision of this great man - America hides in the corner, smiling defensively (we're nice, really we are) hoping no one notices us or gets mad.

We are witnessing truly historic events. Mr. Obama is changing the world's only super power into France, and he's doing it in only one four year term!

I'm reminded of a comment by Abraham Lincoln, in which he said:

"Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step over...

Closing the New Frontier

Finally we begin to get a clear picture of what kind of man and President Mr. Obama will be. He is truly, a Little, Little Man.

He dreams big, but only of things that will make us as Little as he is. He bribes us to vote for him by promising us free goodies, and makes us a Little people, waiting for handouts.

I recently watched the old movie "Apollo 13" again. I was struck by the old America that is portrayed in the film. We were a country with big dreams and a confidence in our ability to meet those dreams reality. In the movie, there is a scene where Tom Hanks as Jim Lovell is sitting in his back yard with his wife on the day Armstrong walked on the moon. Hanks/Lovell says, "We went to the moon because we decided to...

Obama's French Lesson

Several folks have been saying that Israel will take care of the Iran's nuclear threat if it comes down to that.

Unhappily, I have the impression from my reading that reliance on Israel to get the job done is unrealistic. Iran's nuke program is apparently widely dispersed - Israeli jets will have multiple targets separated by many miles. These sites are often deep in the ground - Israel will need bombs capable of deep penetration. Only rather large aircraft can carry such weapons, and I don't think Israel has them, at least not in large numbers. Air operations will have to be conducted over a period of many days, perhaps even weeks, similar to the air war we conducted against Iraq in the first Gulf War. Can Israel sustain such an...

War? What War?

David1692 Wrote: Jan 01, 2010 6:08 PM
The Obama administration has placed so many restrictions on our military governing how they must wage war and treat prisoners ("suspected extremists" in Obama-speak) that they practically invite our soldiers to kill everyone and take no prisoners.

Imagine yourself on the battlefield — an enemy surrenders to you, hands up, begging for mercy. What do you do? You know its likely the jerk will end up being released at some future time and will fight you again. If he gets sent to the States, he gets a lawyer and a trial. Maybe he accuses you of mistreatment and gets you courtmartialed.

What do you do? You ask him a few useful questions with the barrel of a pistol up his nose. Then you leave him bleeding in the dust. "Prisoner...
