As gas prices shoot up, more people will look at the Volt. Depressing the supply now will allow them to shout "huge backlog" when gas gets to $5/g. Am I cynical? You bet.

Gas is already $4.15. It really surprises me we got all these bozos here putting down a car that costs pennies to operate. Keep transferring your wealth to other countries, and sit here posting garbage.

They's "look at the Volt" only IF they are completely crazy. They would get a better automobile and cheaper too if they go with the Toyota Prius hybrid; Great gasoline mileage , comfortable ride and uses electricity too AND its built by a GOOD company that builds QUALITY products.

Plus Toyotas have bad brakes, you don't care until the second you need them.

GM Expects Volt Sales to Set Monthly Record says the normally sane Wall Street Journal.

Chevy Volt broke monthly sales record in August reports the Associated Press.
